Healthy Banana Bread

….whetting your taste bud one meal at a time

A few weeks back, I had some bananas in my kitchen and I thought of what to do with it and I thought of making banana bread, headed over to the store and picked a loaf pan and its banana bread. Follow me as a share with you how I prepared my banana bread and trust me this recipe will be just good for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Banana bread is absolutely magical and this has no added sugar, it’s healthy, it’s moist, infused with fresh banana flavor. Banana bread is very tasty, I totally enjoyed it and it makes snacking easy, knowing that you made it and you know all the ingredients incorporated. You can use a spread on it. For mine, I used guacamole at a point.

For banana bread, you can always use very ripe bananas dark spots. I used unbleached organic white flour and naturally sweetened with a little honey, to offer some trace of health benefits.


Feel free to twist up this recipe and make it your own, you can alternate milk for water,  and then find the balance you want.  If you want to bake some nuts bread, throw some chopped nuts into its like, walnuts, almond, and peanuts into the batter! You can add some dried fruits too. I used peanuts for mine and I liked it.

Prep Time: 10 mins 

Cook Time: 60 mins

Total Time: 1 hour 10 minutes 


• Extra-virgin olive oil

• ¼ teaspoon honey

• 2 eggs

• 3 medium bananas

• ¼ cup milk of choice or water

• 1 teaspoon baking soda

• 1/8 baking powder

• ½ teaspoon salt

• ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

• 1 ¾ cups of white organic flour

• some mix-ins (such as peanuts, walnut, almond nut)


❖ Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit, then grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or any bread pan.

❖ Unpeel the banana and slice into small parts, put into a bowl and mash with a fork.


❖ Break the eggs into a plate and beat well.

❖ In a large bowl, add the flour, the baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon powder, salt, honey, milk and then whisk together.

❖ At this time, add the whisked egg and mashed banana and whisk to blend. Finally, change to spoon (I used a wooden spoon) and stir just until combined.

❖ Its ok to have some chunks. If you’re adding any additional mix-ins, gently put them in now.

❖ Pour the batter into your greased loaf pan and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon.

❖ Bake for 60 minutes or less, or until a pasta stick or toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

❖ Have the bread cool in the loaf pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool for 20 minutes before slicing.

❖ Then its ready to serve.
