…whetting your taste bud one meal at a time

Cranberry hot sauce will warm your mouth and it’s perfect for this winter. Trust me, homemade cranberry sauce is one the perfect sauce, spread, and topping. This is my first time of picking up cranberry from the store and considering what to do with it.

Even though I have not used it before, I thought of making a healthy sauce for my bread, chicken or any staple I might need a sauce. Cranberry sauce is the easiest dish to prepare and it will so good for this Christmas holiday. You can make tons and share with family and friends, you can also give it out as a gift. This version of cranberry sauce is healthy and nourishing, I added some strawberries too. It will cook into a firm consistency as a spread and you will be needing an airtight container to preserve it.

Cranberry sauce contains several nutrients that support overall health. Cranberry sauce is available canned, but homemade cranberry sauce from fresh berries will let you control over the ingredients you use to prepare it. Cranberry sauce offers many health benefits such as vitamin c, fiber, low in fat and high in antioxidant.

Cranberries may protect against urinary tract infections, have antiviral properties, and even help prevent cancer and heart attacks.

For me, I always prefer leaving it that way but if you want it plain, just place a mesh strainer over a bowl and use the back of a spoon to press through the cooked sauce to drain.
