So few days back, I made an homemade almond butter, so ecstatic to how good it came out and I wanted to share the process with y’all.

First off, I have always enjoyed almonds nuts. I always have it in my pantry, love snacking on it. At a point I started craving for Almond butter and wanted to try one .

Prior to making almond butter I went to stores to purchase already-prepared almond butter but couldn’t find any. I opted to make one myself since I have some almond nuts. Making one is the best decision, I get to enjoy the almond butter without thinking of what was included.

Almond butter is easy to prepare and it can take about 20minutes. Ensure you use high powered blender or food processor.

It’s so easy to incorporate into your diet. If you enjoy using peanut butter, then using almond butter will be a step up. You can enjoy it on sandwiches, apples, crackers, banana, smoothie e.t.c

  • 2 cups of almond nut
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil


  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place a parchment paper on a pan and spread the almonds across and toast the almonds for 10 minutes, stirring halfway.
  • Allow the almond to cool down for few minutes.
  • Add the almond to high powered blender or power processor and blend. You can start with “pause” to crush down the almonds.
  • Add the olive oil once you get it into flour and blend till turns smooth and creamy.
  • Transfer to a jar, cover the lid and keep refrigerated.
